I have decided to head on down to West Marine in Sausalito
& buy a Nicro 3" stainless solar powered vent fan to install
in the skylight of my '85 Westy.  Experimentally, shall we say.

Here in Mendocino County, CA--my  neck of the woods--
despite a long, rainy winter, solar power is commonly used for
running well pumps, providing hot water, & powering 12 volt power
plants.  This region is on the cutting edge of solar technology
application.

My homeowner's association maintains a clubhouse complex
which includeds a  good-size swimming pool & hot showers
that have been successfully, & economically, powered by solar
panels for fifteen years.
We are a diverse group of land owners, representing many political
& personal philosophies, tho I have never yet seen a bumper sticker
in our parking lot that read  "I  Don't Brake for Poodles."

This current solar discussion has brought many good informational
links to the screens of this List  Those who are interested will utilize
them.  Many of us on this List are, by nature, innovators.  Many of
us, apparantly, cruise on land & on sea!  Always good to remember
that on the List, as in life,  common sense is a rare commodity.
