For what it's worth, they (the FAA) do not generally permit solder type repairs in the aircraft wiring, I believe due to vibration concerns and the QC question of the solder joint. I am not suggesting that soldering /shrinkrap is not acceptable in this case, but rather as food for thought. The high-end crimp type connectors are much higher quality than the FLAPS type. I purchased a complete assortment from Hi-Line. You can get smaller amounts from Aviation Spruce and Specialty, which caters to homebuilt and experimental aircraft builders.
