Well, well . . . I had decided not to buy the Vanagon. Now, everything else I was looking at has fallen through -- I'm back to the Vanagon. It's a sign. I'm buying one. I've been dragged into the club, I guess.

Before I buy it, though, I must ask. Would a 1985 be an any better bet than a 1984 (intrinsically, I mean. I haven't actually seen the '85, so I can't vouch for its condition). The price is pretty much the same . . .
