The only thing cold about Toronto is the people! (excluding vanagon list members of course. Sorry, I couldn't resist.)

I use 10W30 for winter as recommended by the dealer, but have heard that 5W30 might be better when it gets down to -30 at night for an older motor. But i don't think it would be cold enough for 5W30 for more than a month, which means frequent oil changes. Of course, so does flooding your motor when it won't start because of the cold.

Forgive the shot, Toronto listees. When it's -30 here everything becomes one bad joke. I'm going to be in Toronto in a few months and hopefully you'll still let me sit in on one of your meetings!
