Thanks to everyone who responded. It is indeed a Group 41 and not a Group 42 battery that I needed. 650 CCA is the best I could find and Canadian Tire had the best price. It was $80 Cdn and I get 2 years free replacement and free boosts all over North America for that time ---- and a prorated warranty for 5 years. Not too bad I figure. I swapped it in the dark last night in the Canadian Tire parking lot (to be darn sure it fit). Thanks to previous posts on the subject, I knew enough to buy a battery carrier/lifter ($3 well spent) to lift the old battery and that I had to swivel the seat around and shove it forward to get the old battery out. The 650 CCA rating is much better than the 500 CCA on my old battery so I'm happy now.

Thanks again,

Doug Alcock '84 Westy Toronto, Canada
