Larry, My Canon digicam proprietary charger/batteries do not adapt to a cigarette lighter plug, nor can these particular Canon batteries be charged in any but the Canon charger. I already have two cigarette lighter plugs as part of my "house" power system, which I use a great deal.

As to the coffee grinder, I am of the school that believes in using what I've already got. I am loathe to contribute more plastic to our landfills. I am not simply saving fuel, I am preserving the peace, & ensuring that I have a way to keep my starting battery charged when camping long periods, on isolated beaches or mountaintops, when no other vehicles are necessarily available for jump starts. My system gives clean, quiet, & dependable security combined with a fool proof, inexpensive power system. I hope you have been enlightened! Phaedra
