Ken, I originally Emailed that the test was at 3600 RPM or above and wide open throttle, WOT. I stated that I had a .7 or so volts, and that the Bosch Fuel Injection Book, power curve graph show max. power at .84 volts. and that I was able to achieve this .84 volts under the WOT with the fuel injection pressure increased.. BTW the closed loop operation is disabled at WOT, by the micro switch, so the suggestion to go closed loop would not have an effect on at WOT at 3600 Rpm, and try it with a digital readout and see what the fuel injection system can deliver volt wise. I might add that you may have completely functioning pressure regulator, my original equipment regulator was worn and I'll bet many are. So I feel that if the O2 sensor isn't reading .84 volt or so at wide open throttle at high RPM and under a full load, i.e. 1" or so of Vacuum, then the engine isn't producing it's maximum power. The book is Bosch Fuel Injection by Alan Probst, the power and economy graph show max. power at .84 volts and max. economy at .15 volt. Both of these values are outside the ECU range of .3 and .75 volts in the closed loop.
Sincerely, Mark Keller 91 Carat WLE "Lazarus" I'm on Digest so Pmail is OK |
