Ken, I had this same problem on my Westy, turned out to be more than I expected. Kind of hard to explain but here goes..... In the "elbow" of the lifting hinge mechanism for the top I found it pivots inside on a section of tube, this had worn thru on the left hand side and caused my top to lean to one side when up. Easy to check, look closely at the point that the upper arm (the one attached to the top) pivots in the "elbow". When you lift the top it should pivot uniformly in the "middle", compare to the other side. Might be an idea to check this first. Hope this helps.
