Subject: NEED HELP IN FLORIDA!!!
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

Need big advice in Florida. I came down here and everything was running fine but when I left early in the morning, I started having problems about 60 miles out, the battery/alternator light came on. Made it to a gas station, filled up and then the car refused to start. Even with a jump it would not catch. I found the alternator brushes were worn down to nibs. After a long tow, got to our friends house and started working. Ended up buying a remanufactured alternator and a battery. Now it starts up but will not idle for longer than 5 to 9 seconds. and dies out when I go to push the gas pedal. The local dealership and the local VW garage had no clue. PLEASE SEND ADVICE!! I have no clue what to do next. I have 2 dogs, a number of cats and a mother who have no way home! Please email me at vahistory@yahoo.com as I am not sure if I am getting the list on yahoo. Thanks for your time, Steve Hajasz (currently in Indian Harbor Beach, Florida.)
