You're right, with exceptions...

Whenever our 18 month old poops his diaper, dumps a bowl of cereal on his
head, tackles his four year old brother, or generally creates mayhem, he
becomes "your son".  Similarly, if our four year old won't listen, throw a
fit because he can't get what he wants, or belts his 18 month old brother
for tackling him, he becomes "your son".

On the other hand, my wife refers to OUR house as "my house", OUR bedroom
as "my bedroom", and MY pay check as "my allowance".

...and I wouldn't change any of it!
