Sounds like I cagey 'Ghia (pun intended). You could call it a Karmann Ghia bodied Porsche then, eh?

I have personally owned 4 KG's. Have had one spin from under me when the old swingaxle tucked under on a winding road. That was it for me.

It was cheaper to buy an old used 911 rather than building a Ghia w/ comparable brakes and power. Handling, forget it. You couldn't do enough to that front beam to approach what you can get with the 911.
