For Sale: 1990 Syncro Westfalia
from original maintenance-fanatic owner. Original brochure, owner's manual,
and all records. Meticulously maintained inside, outside, and mechanically
from day one. No deferred maintenance on this vehicle. Mint condition!
Features: cruise control; power steering, windows, locks, and mirrors; super
air conditioning; fog lamps; Kenwood stereo cassette with 10-disc CD changer
and 4 upgraded Kenwood speakers; locking differential and extra-low gear.
Description: Silver clearcoat metallic with gray interior. Alloys with
Michelin MXTs. Paint and poptop roof in fantastic condition: no oxydation, no
dings. Stove and sink are sparkling clean; water tank always cleaned and
dried between trips -- you can definately drink  water from the faucet!
Poptop canvas, upholstery, door gaskets and black roof-sealing gasket are all
in exquisite condition. EVERYTHING works.
History: 166K mostly-highway miles, but the syncro has shown it's stuff on
sandy beaches, in the snow, and on remote mountain dirt roads that were
sometimes more like creek beds! Religiously serviced. Genuine VW parts always
used. Filled almost exclusively with Chevron gas. Always-frequent oil and
filter changes. Drives beautifully, and looks fantastic inside and out. This
van has been so pampered and driven with such care that it has the original
engine, transmission, starter --- even original clutch! It still drives
flawlessly, and with continued good care can remain in top condition for many
years. There's no catching up to do here - it's already in top condition.
It's never been in a crash and nobody has ever smoked in it.
