Subject: Re: snow chains

Snow Chains? We don't need no stinking snow chains!

I drive up to a 8k ft mountain in Oregon 3-5 times a week through some serious snow/ice & have yet to have any problems (stay away Murphy!). i put on some burley 205's w/ mud snow tread. westy's are heavy, with rear wheel drive & the motor in the back. perfect.

take your time, and buy a cheap pair of used cables if it will help bring peace to your journey!

ps. i took much delight in passing a long line of SUV's going up the snow covered santiam pass the other day! o' what fun it is drive, past 4 wheel drive vehicles to their dismay!- hey!
