Hello Bill,

I would worry less about the engine and the wire (with the exception of connectors) but more about the body and frame of the car. It is almost like spraying it with a saline solution which is very sticky. Basically steam clean everything right after the use of an extinguisher and reseal the surface. Unfortunately the powder will usually be used when there is a fire which burns the paint and exposes the metal. But sometimes you just have to make difficult choices: life over limb.
