JIm, Check the Temp sensor II first. Mine did the same thing when cold. Replaced that----solved. The lid to the AFM comes off with the cutting around the edge with a razor knife, and gently prying the lid with a wide edged screwdriver. Take your time, it will come off. My Van suffers an off idle problem, not a cold start problem. (anymore)
