Yes, I started collecting information regarding importation. I was in
contact with VW SA and was referred to another individual (I lost his
name and all my emails since). I also contacted I-don't-now-how-many
shippers. Some said no way and some said they could do the shipping. I
never really had a definate no-it-can't-be-done from anyone. It's just
that your the guy that has to put and keep all the ducks in the row
(contacts, paperwork, $ estimates, etc.)

I got busy and never followed up. Knowing how much they change the
Vanagon year to year, there is a good chance it is not all that much
different structurally if at all.

If you find out anything, I would be interested although I not all that
excited about the larger side windows. But I am exicted about NO RUST!
