Hi Dennis,
I use an 81 Cal system in our 78 westy. Test fuel pressure, test /
clean the injectors (be sure you have a balanced set). Check for exhaust
and vacuum leaks, check compression, and that all tune up items and
timing are proper.
It is then possible to adjust the afm (air flow meter) main spring
tension / mixture using the o2 sensor voltage or a co meter. This has been
written up seveal times in the past. Checking the archives will yield much
information. If you need more information drop me a note.
