Brian,

I had a similar problem on my 88 GL. Even after the tranny was rebuilt itt shifted hard. I switched to Redline MT90 synthetic for my gear oil and now it shifts sweet, sweet, sweet.

I can't account for my problem or yours, but I suggest switching to Redline MT90. You will be amazed at the difference, most likely.

John Rodgers 88 GL Driver in Birmingham, AL where it is raining, blustery, and cold..ie, just plain miserable.......and I developed leaks in both bottom corners or my windshield. The foot wells are filling up.
