Unfortunately, the way that Gerrry is configured fools SpamCop into thinking that Gerry itself is the source of the spam.

IMPORTANT: If you use SpamCop, or any other reporting method, DON'T send reports to Concentric.net concerning 208.37.250.151. That is gerry.vanagon.com, and I would certainly hate to see Concentric shut the list down.

Because of this I've been using SpamCop in "manual mode" to report Vanagon spam. I've reported every spam that I've gotten on the list. In addition, the spam reports include the following:

NOTICE TO POSTMASTER: Dear Postmaster, this message has been generated in response to an unsolicited email. You have been sent the message because the domain that you are responsible for appears to have originated or forwarded the message. In addition, abuse desks of websites advertised by this spam are also receiving this message. Please take particular note that this spammer gained unwelcome and absolutely unsolicited access to a non-commercial mailing list with no imaginable connection to his/her product. As one of the 700+ members of the Vanagon Mailing List that received this unwelcome message, I certainly hope that you cancel any and all accounts used by this spammer and hold him/her fully financially liable for the abuse of your systems.

I highly encourage the use of SpamCop, and encourage paying for it. It has drastically cut the amount of spam that reaches my and my family's email boxes, and I get the added bonus of hearing back from network admins that spammer's accounts have been cut off.
