Is the brake hydrolic system in some way connected to the clutch hydrolic system? The bentley book talks about filling the resevoir in the clutch section.

The reason I ask is I notice that my clutch pedal when fully depressed doesn't seem to disengage the clutch as much as I might expect. When in first gear and pulling out, the slightest lift of my foot off the floor causes a little grab.. The grab stays small until I'm about 1" off the pedal entirely.

I know my brake fluid needs to be changed.. I recently put a new transmission in. I didn't screw with the clutch hydrolics at all. My intuition tells me they are two closed and seperate systems. Maybe I need to have my clutch fluid changed? I don't have a pressure bleeder, so I guess I can't do it myself.

The reason this really bothers me is because it's sometimes tough to get into 3rd. I think this is the reason... though I could be wrong.

Why aren't there MORE vanagon fanatics?!
