Good morning Listees,
Thanks for the many responses to my inquiry
re the possible causes of metalic chirping my
van makes since having had much work done by Coby Smolens in San Anselmo,
CA.

Some of you warned of possible trouble with alternator or water pump, others
of brakes, fan
belts, low power steering fluid, etc.  I cringe to
think it might be any of the above, for Coby Smolens recently had my van in
his shop 5 weeks--& had instructions to go carefully over every system in
preperation for my trip to Mexico.
I've already had to take the van back to him for a redux of his brake
job--for it was squealing like a stuck pig!

He had my van in his shop 5 weeks/$2600 in parts/labor at $72 per hour,
I will sorely resent having to return the van yet another
time.  Will it never end!
