Chris -

I ran four Kumho 852s this summer before I put my snow tires on, and was well satisfied. They handled wind, rain and potholes easily. Not sure what you mean by reinforced sidewall - I believe they have the normal two case plys and two steel belts. They are standard light truck tires with an all season tread, and with a load rating of 103 they are more than heavy duty enough for my Westy. I ran the fronts at about 35 psi and the rears about 43. If the rear got much below 40 psi I started getting a mildly squirelly feel.

So far so good. I don't know what sort of tread wear I'll get.

<SNIP> I also found an air-cooled Vanagon Westy with a set of Kumho tires on the rear and Nankangook (spelling is off on that one) tires on the front. I found the Kumho website (www.kumhotires.com). They list a Kumho Commercial A/S 852 in sizes ranging from 185-14 to 205-14. These are reinforced sidewall with a 'D' load rating. Is anyone on this list using these? <SNIP> _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com.
