hello everyone, ive got a prob with my 81 a/cooled westy with the auto tranny.i have a delayed 2-3 shift in it and im trying to zero in on the problem.1,the van had set up for 8 years and was running only 2 yrs ago and since has had only 4000 miles put on it out of the orig 13000 miles it has.2,the delayed shift only occurs when the engine has warmed up from a dead cold(not run during the week)start.3,if i let the westy warm up 3 mins, and then chock it in drive for about 5-10 mins the trans will shift into 3rd in about 1/2 the time it would normally take for the non-chocked approach.4,it only does this the 1st time it has to shift 1-2-3 ,then it shifts fine unless ,again it sits and gets cold(4-5 hours)any suggestions?any info would be appreciated from this first rate mail list. thanks t.dowell
