I recently replaced my front turn signal on my 83.5. All it is, is 2 screws that hold it in on the side. If these screws are missing, you can use sheet metal screws just as easily, they just have to be at least 3 inches long. The bulb itself is in it's own assembly, which clips in on the sides, when you pull it out, you'll see a small tab that you squeeze and it pops out. The bulb is held in by 2 small studs, you can just twist that a quarter turn, and that comes out. When you put it back together, just make sure that the rubber bell is over the back of the turn signal lens housing. It's pretty much simple. By the way, how did that electrical thing turn out for you? What was the problem?
