Subject: 11 in. pressure = how many Bars????
Content-type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

I have searched the archives and I found a lot of discussion about the Westy propane regulator needing to push 11 inches of water (?) but I need to know what 11 inches of pressure is in the "Bar" measurement as I am trying to hook my fridge up to a propane bottle and the only regulators I can find (here in Cairo) are labeled in Kg/h, L/hr and Bar (sometimes m.bar). I can find regulators labeled: 20 Bar, 25 Bar, 30 Bar etc. My Excel spreadsheet does not have the conversion, inches to bar (or at least I can not find it). I used http://www.unitwiz.com/index.html to find a conversion and all I found was Inches to "Barleycorns" whatever that is!

Do you know what 11 inches of propane pressure is in the Bar measurement??

I was able to get the stove to work with a regulator of unknown/unlabled pressure, the fridge tries to light (swish-poof) then goes out.

Thanks, Malcolm Stebbins
