I think Gene Berg still sells that rotor.  Would wonder if it would funtion
properly with Vanagon, but it probably will.  I thought the ECU prevented
rpms over  5800, but could understand 5800 being a little high for some
folks.  That might only work for a stuck throttle cable or something.
