Greetings Loretta. Steven Shane here. As we get ready to call it a night and head out on our journey from AL to sunny CA, I noticed your post about looking for a heater.

Now I don't know if this is golden or not, but when we were coming down from Portland, Me to good old West (by God) Virginia, my Tranny had problems in Cambridge, Ohio.

There we met a man named Jim. Jim owns the Beetle Barn. and not only did he get me back on the road, but he has a whole field (200 maybee) of VWs behind his house. Including at least a dozen Vanagons.

If you can do the shipping, I think he might be worth a call. Jim is an old school, hard-ass, harley riding, chain smoking, brad pit bull raising VW guy. His 91 Carat is incredible! He's rough at first, but get past the outside and he is one SWEET guy.

No email. No web shit! But he does have a phone. Try him out. He was good to me when my Westy and I were down.

Wish me luck ya'll! And thanks for so many offers for stop and stays. SNIFF SNIFF... you folks are the best....MAN!
