Hi volks, Like David I use two or really three. I have an ancient HP Digital Multimeter that has a very fast sample time. I also have a Triplett Model 310 "analog" or d'arsonval meter at 20000 ohms/volt. This is a period piece and now worth considerably more than what I paid for it. RatShack still has little analog meters around 15 dollars. I bought a Generic Chinese Brand DMM with an LCD display new for five bucks, bought three actually. This is a consumable one lives in the K100RS one in the UrQ and one in the syncro. They have an auto-off feature that helps COBs like me keep the batteries alive. Now the _real_ meter is an HP 3450A Peltier effect TE compensated DMM complete with the really ancient Nixie tube readouts. This beast is the 30 + year old top of the line. Not for sale. pensioner |
