I recently posted a question re: my newly leaking head. Everything was just fine before my moderately lengthy trip. What could cause it to crack or start leaking? I did drive at speeds of 80-85 MPH on my speedo. I know for a fact that my speedo is off by about 10-15 MPH on the high side, so I was only really going about 70 MPH. My tire size is: P195/75R14. I'm not sure why the speedo is off, but it was one of the first things we did when we bought it.

I'm hoping it's not a crack (obviously). I should find out by the end of the night. I'm going to pull it into the garage and take a closer look.

I am unable to track down the sealing compound by part # that's in bentley. The only place that can get it is the dealer at $11 for an unknown quantity. What product can I use to seal the head nuts in place of this?

Thanks! Bradley Flubacher State College, PA
