Subject: Off Idle Syndrome Pt.3
Content-Type: Text/Plain; Charset=US-ASCII

Well boys and girls, Moms and Dads,,,,, Here is what I have found, and what I have done thus far to attempt to correct the "stand on the throttle, and go no where, after the engine warms up, when leaving a traffic light", problem. Replaced the oxy sensor,( because I replaced the exhaust system )replaced the temp sensor 2, ( because it didn't have a fast idle when cold ) replaced the idle stabilizer ( just because ) And last but not the east replaced the AFM. ( because it had apparent cracks, in several areas where the wiper rode ) Well, guess what? It still does it, but only when it is just coming off the fast idle. It has a transition period, that somewhere between the normal running temp, and cold running temp, it doesn't want to roll when the go button is applied. So, tired of replacing stuff on this insatiably hungry, for money engine, I decided to unplug the ECU connection, and plug in the multimeter, and try and figure out this beast. "The survey says"------- It's the throttle switch! The multimeter, reads nothing, open or closed. It is supposed to read -0-, when closed, and somewhere in infinity when open, but I get nothing at all. I pulled the wire off the switch and I have continuity in this wire. However, when checking the continuity of the switch, the beeper in the multimeter, ( which indicates a good circuit) does nothing with the throttle open or closed,or anywhere in between. So, this is my next move, and hopefully, the "Go No", or "Go when it wants to go", will be soon be resolved.

Hi Ho, Hi,Ho------
