I think one would probably run into problems > trying to use a water-cooled hatch cover on an air-cooled.

Is there anyone out there that could put the plastic one one their aircooled to see if there is a difference in noise, fumes, etc.?

I have the plastic one on my 81, and have seen the metal ones. They both fit I can verify that, I am just wondering if the metal one makes a better seal...it weighs about 2wice as much.
