I once had to drain the tank of an '84 right after a fill-up.  A little over
13 Gal., if my memory serves me right.  On the '84 there is a pressure test
port in the form of an inline tee in the fuel supply line.  If the photos in
the Bentley are reliable, there appears to be a similar test port in the left
injector fuel rail of the '80 air-cooled fuel system.  All you need to do is
remove the plug from the tee, slip (i.e., force) on a hose and let the fuel
pump do all the work.  About the biggest problem is finding enough containers
to hold all the fuel.  It's funny how indiscreet in the selection of
containers one can become after about the tenth gallon.
