hey all,

here is my situation, i have a 90 gl with a bad motor. i have recently purhased a new rebuilt 2.1l from boston engine. the motor is still in its crate. i had a mechanic lined up to do the job now, but now he claims he won't be able to do the project until march and he wants to charge me, get this, 1200!! freaking dollars to install the damn thing. the job should be 600 dollars max., $800 if you are vw. anyways, now i am faced with a dilema. i need to find someone in the hudson valley area of new york to install this engine, or i will sell the brand new rebuilt 2.1l from boston engine and then sell the 90 shell. all i want to do is install the engine and then sell the van that has been sitting at my mehanics lot just waiting to get back on the road. so, what do i do? does anybody need a rebuilt 2.1 with zero miles on it? does anyone know a reputable installer in my area that can do this job? i am going out of my mind and am so frustrated right now. i need this lists' help in dealing with my dilema. somebody, PLEASE!! sorry to ramble on jason
