http://www.syncro.org/ is one year old! Since the site started, it has registered roughly 47,000 hits by one count and 57,000 by another counter. Who know if either of them are right! The real measure of success, for me, is the syncro registry. It has about 220 syncros from all over the world registered. The site is truely international, which was a big goal since the community is international. I haven't had time to do much on the site the last 5 months or so, but will start the third major revamp soon....and it will take a few months to complete. There will be refinements of the existing cointent and some weeding, lots of new photos people have been sending me (send me yours!) and a new feature or two. I would like to make it more interactive in a useful way. Eventually, i am going to have to move the site since it is still on my basic ISP account...meaning for free, but this limits how many photos and such i can post. It is a miracle they haven't thrown me off yet, to be honest, as I am way over the limit on space. I would also like to have the banner ad removed from the registry ($80 a year) or create my own registry (can anyone give me what i need to do this?). In order to cover some of the costs i have decided to sell OME shocks and the custom syncro and vanagon springs from the site. I will be able to write off some of the expenses this way too. Any suggestions or comments would be welcome! steve |
