Any stay tuned for info on the second annual Hollister Hills Spring Syncro Meet/Event in late April or early may, to be sponsored by Syncro.org. There will be a few events for the kids, including a remote control off-road car/truck race (and laying out the track for the race), games, perhaps a treasure hunt or some contest of some kind. There will be a social hour or so in the evening with wine, cheese, beer, mineral water, etc. to help ease the pain of the non-syncro-crazed-significant-others. Of course, there are campfires at night for further socializing opportunities.

They syncro stuff will include the morning parade up the trails to the top of the mountain, some sampling of the obstacle course, testing of springs, air springs and maybe some OME shocks to test (floor jack available)...and anything else people might bring, and plenty of free time to explore the miles of trails.

There are free showers about 2 miles from where we will be camping. We will have our own gated area with direct access to the trails. A nicy grassy pasture-like area with some shade trees, good toilets, water, picnic tables, fire rings and even a stage. The area should accomodate about 20+ syncros, so there is plenty of room. Non-syncros are welcome on a space-available basis...and there may be some.

Last year there was quite a variety of extoica present, and i expect this year to be even better. Tom and Adam came down all the way from Oregon! This year we will present an award for the farthest traveled! Here are photos, thanks to Coyote, of the last event. I should know the date here shortly and will post it when i do.
