hey all, i want to thak everybody who has replied with great inputs towards my last post of trying to find a mechanic in the husdon valley of new york to install my engine in my 90 gl. the consensus was for me to attempt this myself. i know how to use tools and have done quite a bit of work on this van myself, but nothing of this magnitude. so i would be willing to do this but i need help physically from someone who has done this before. i do not have a covered gargage to do this though. i have a big parking lot, lots of hot coffee and that's about it. so anybody who is near the poughkeepsie area who has the giving holiday spirit in them and willing to get a little cold, their help would be greatly appreciated. i would be willing to reward their efforts monetarily or, if they prefer, since i am a chef i would love to put together a 7 course dinner with wines for them and their family or whatever, it would blow your minds. anyways i leave for brazil dec 21 til jan 9 and would like to get this done before i leave. this is really starting to stress me out. if i can not get anyone to help me put this in i would be willing to sell the van as is and the engine so i can just get out. the shell is a 90 gl burgundy in color with grey interior, bed in back, screens and curtains. no rust. many new parts like brakes, starter, altenator, belts, hoses, seals, etc.... i would ask $1900 obo. the engine is 2.1 rebuilt with new heads still in its crate from boston engine. it has a 12 month 12k warranty on it. i would ask $1700 for the engine. you could buy both and have a really great van with no miles on the engine for $3600 bucks. that's a steal. this van has great sentimetal value so my first choice would be to find a mechanic that can get this done or do it myself with a list members help. thanks for any input jason _____________________________________________________________________________________ Get more from the Web.
