$500 seems high, if this doesn't include hydraulic parts as well.

I just did this job myself, buying my parts from BusDepot. The prices of
the brake mechanical parts (new rotors, pads, hardware) came to about $130
or so. Wheel bearing kits for each side (I/O brng & seal) came to about
$50. Thus, excluding hydraulic parts (caliper rebuild kits or calipers), I
spent about $180 on the parts for the front brakes.

I don't know how long this job is SUPPOSED to take, but I wouldn't think
much more than a couple of hours total. Since new rotors are being used,
the new bearing races and seal can be installed in them prior to
disassembling the old brakes.

Assuming the shop marks up the prices of the parts, they will probably cost
you more than what I paid. However, I would still think the whole job would
be significantly less than $500, in my opinion.

Maybe you should shop around and compare quotes for doing this work.
