Hiya list.

Had a hella time yesterday trying to figure out why my '87 was acting so weird. Kinda the same symptoms as this thread.

Turns out that the plug connecting to the Hall sender wasn't on completely, but I sure looked like it was....plugged it in another 1/2 centimeter and voila! started and ran without any problems...

And this after owning the van for 3 years and never touching the sender....

So, you might want to double check all your connections.....just my 2 cents...

I had this problem too once (though it hasn't re-occured). And it was right after driving nearly 500 miles (ie: plenty of charge time for the alternator to replace the charge). What are the other potential causes?
