Yep, it is Scirocco inspired but mostly A2, All Sciroccos were A1 chassis, they continued on in other parts of the world (Non-US) until 92.

The B1 chassis is a Quantum if you are not selling them in the US, they were called Dashers over here.

The later Fox as sold in the US was kind of like the Corrado in that it was a ??? on a B chassis.

These names are correct but slightly misleading- the non-US name (like Bora & Vento) are not included, and it makes some of the dates off slightly because some models continued on in another country OR another chassis continued on but all the others were the next number up (Convertables/Carbiolets = A1 chassis while the Golf/Jetta had become an A2, etc.)

Gets real slippery.

TBerk btw- Sciroccos are also known as type 53 and 53b (Mk2) ;]
