Woody, For years I used Vredesteins at all corners on my Volvo 240's. About a dozen years ago, I was only able to get them from Canada, so I switched to Hakka's. I have a vague recollection from the time of my conversion of preferring the Vredesteins for the 240. Since that time, I have used Hakkapelietta 10's on both my 240's and my Vanagons (2WD's and Syncros) exclusively. This season, the Hakka 10 is no longer available and I bought what was represented as its replacement, the Hakka C2. Both the Hakkas and the Vredesteins are excellent winter tires and I think neither will disappoint you. If the Vredesteins are offered with a comparable rating (I think the Hakkas are 1875 lb. max load and 65 psi max pressure) I would base my selection solely on the best deal I could cut. Rich |
