See: http://www.freightliner.com/corp/eng_tech/unimog.asp Ellis gave up looking for an affordable Synchro Westy with dry heads, no digifant problems, enough power, a tranmission that does have a breath robbing downshift drop-off difference between 3rd and 2nd gears while yet retaining A/C. So I stole a 1984 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ60 for $1850.00! =) I'll be placing my trusty 1963 EZ Camper on the market soon. Wife and I will retain the '67 Westy and Puck trailer thereby keeping us in the VW family. On the LC email list someone pointed out the new Unimog pdf format brochure on the web. Now can we make it a Dormobile and call it good? Definite right lane material for sure! =) Would make an automatic diesel Westy with a full load seem like a drag racer. What do you all think? -ellis\ Phoenix LC FJ60 -> Needs TLC
