The simple way to bleed brakes with one person is:

To get about a 3 foot piece of 3 mm vacuum line and a tall glass jar.

Put one end of the hose on the bleeder and the other end in the jar, pour
about an inch of clean brake fluid into the jar to cover the end of the hose.

Open the bleeder and push the brake pedal to the floor slowly until no air
bubbles are seen in the brake fluid in the jar.  Close the bleeder and pull
the hose off and go to next wheel.

Start with the passenger side rear, drivers side rear, passenger side front
and drivers side front.

When the jar is close to full, empty it, generally after each wheel.


This method can also be used to bleed the clutch.

If you need to flush the system, pump about one to two jars (depending on
size) full of brake fluid OR UNTIL the brake fluid runs clear. (OLD Brake
fluid is generally black)


I have been doing this method on and off for the last 18 years (more so in
the last 5 years because there is no one around to assist...)
