Simple answer: Yes, but only when the other lights are on too
<g>.  Seriously, there's a bulb inserted into the back of the faceplate
that lights up the whole thing.  You can probably see it from the ash-tray
hole.  Should have a blue-or-mostly and a brown wire going to it.
