Roland, my '85 Westy, is down temporarily for exhaust system replacement -- one broken stud is kicking my butt. In the mean time I've been driving our rusty '89 Honda Civic (1.5l 16-valve OHC, 5-speed, 129K miles) for my daily commute. Yesterday morning it started fine but when I headed out to lunch it would not start. I tried again after work with no joy. The engine cranks over fine and it is getting gas but apparently no spark. This engine uses a distributor cap with a built in coil. The cap was relaced, along with plug wires and plugs last year. Anybody on the list know anything about trouble shooting these little beasts? I need to get this thing back up quickly so I can get back to work on Roland with his shiney new coated exhaust system.

There is a nice looking red Carat parked next to the Honda this morning. See this is Vavagon related!

Chuck
