Dear List,


I have used several drafting and accounting programs using Hardlock.


If you are trying to use a program which has been protected with the
hardlock software protection method you may be out of luck.


The program is set up to look at a com port or lpt port for a special device
which has the unlocking code hard wired into it.


The device looks like a loop-back lpt or serial port testing plug and is
keyed to the serial number of the software installed.


Someone may have figured out how to make the program "think" it sees this
plug, if so great .... but illegal etc.
