Hi Volks:

This is a true story that must be told.

Today, on my way to work, my Westy began to over-heat, and the low coolant light began to flash.

I checked the reservior, bit of a bubble, vented it, did my normal thing to effect a remedy. Couldn't stop the overheating, no matter what I did.

So, I had it towed to Continental Car Services, here in Winnipeg. (An independent shop operating since the 70's.)

Kind of funny, Listee Jeff Palmer had his Westy in yesterday, and listee Brian Hydsmith had his ready to go, out front!

Anyhow, Continental worked on my Westy till 8:40 PM, to discover what was causing the problem, and were not able to find anything wrong.

Get this: NO CHARGE! Problem has not recurred.

This is a shop where the owners and mechanics are really car guys. They have photographs on the wall of Jensens, Ferraries (sp?), Maseraties, (sp?) all sorts of Citroens, tons of Rolls Royces etc - that they have had through their shop.

They do engine swaps and all sorts of custom stuff on a regular basis. Used to have an ice racing team.

They're good guys, from the old school (remember? - liking what you do, and being nice to people)

I highly, highly recommend them.
