with my 1985 Westy 1.9 this year I traveled 22,000.... My travels range from
Florida to Newfoundland mostly on secondary roads... May through November
... mountains and flats... I check and log my mileage at every fill up ...
the mileage under all conditions was pretty close to 20 mpg... lowest 17..
highest 21.5... I did have a patch of 7 mpg until I changed out the AFM... I
cruise between 3500 and 4000 rpm
