Hey everyone, Anyone ever fix the front wiper motor park switch? Our vanagon wipers seem to have an internal switch that "parks" the wipers in the down position. My switch seems to be defective however my motor works fine. The first symptoms were several blown fuses, then the motor stopped working. I bypassed the motors internal switch by cutting wire D17 and connecting it to wire D2 on the wiring diagram on page 97.100 of the Bentley manual. This made the wiper work on slow speed only (i don't know why it is only working on slow speed). Has anyone ever had a similar problem and fixed it by taking apart the wiper motor and repairing this switch or something else on or inside the wiper motor? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. BTW, I'm having trouble accessing the vanagon mailing list archives: http://www.vanagon.com/archives/vanagon.html Anyone else having this problem? Happy Holidays, Andrew 86 Westy Cape Cod Mass |
