Doug, I no longer live on any of your proposed routes, but I want to make sure that you are prepared to travel in these areas at this time of the year. Be sure to carry a couple of sleeping bags (per person) and other emergency supplies. Water, food, maybe a small propane heater, cell phone, etc. Stop for fuel often if you get into bad weather, and pay attention to weather advisories. Do not take unnecessary risks.
