$400 to $600 is the range for having someone else do this transplant, and I highly recommend this route if you are a novice at engine R&R work. Expect to find other bits that will need replacing too, such as the clutch, exhaust pipes, etc. And the flywheel is probably different too, so you may have to switch them. Have it machined and replace the oil seal. DIY requires a paved work surface, two floor jacks (one large one for the engine and one small one for supporting and positioning the transmission), a basic mechanic's tool set, an engine stand (or sturdy table) to put the engine on while installing parts, lots of rags, patience, a Haynes manual, luck, fortitude, perseverance, etc., etc.,!
